At ADCE, our strength stems from a tightly knit team of experienced professionals. A culture of continuous learning and improvement keeps the work environment dynamic, while profit sharing options encourage employees to make a personal commitment to company’s success. We have over 300 employees, many of who have been with us for over seven years.
The first Gulf War was underway and soldiers in the field found themselves in desperate need of more handheld GPS devices. Trimble, the military’s GPS supplier, called DC Electronics for help. Literally overnight, DC Electronics ramped up production to supply Trimble with cables to meet a seemingly impossible demand.
Meeting challenges – error free and on time – is still what DC Electronics does best. Back in 1979, when David Cianciulli left Hughes Aircraft to form his own cable sales and distribution business, service and quality were his watchwords. From the very beginning, we have been focused on serving high-level customers with exacting needs. Within a few years, the small, Silicon Valley supplier was hiring engineers and assembly people to design and produce custom cable and wire harness solutions for technical instrument manufacturing.
DC Electronics quickly grew, establishing itself as a valuable resource for companies needing high-level engineering services and fast turnaround production capabilities. Over a dynamic 30 years in the Silicon Valley, DC Electronics has financed its own growth and maintained a diverse customer base, staying strong through industry ups and downs.
Mr. Cianciulli’s son, David Cianciulli Jr. took the reins as CEO in 1999 and ran the company until it was acquired by Amphenol, a world leader in providing interconnect solutions, in June of 2013.
Today, with a fully integrated production plant, over 300 employees and a strong parent company with international supplier and manufacturing resources, ADCE is unmatched in its ability to provide consistent quality and competitive cost solutions for the industry's most demanding manufacturers.
