Managing daily manufacturing operations, strategizing and implementing LEAN programs.
The DC Manufacturing Manager is responsible for daily manufacturing operations at our 32,500 sq ft wire harness assembly facility in San Jose, CA. He/she reports to the VP of operations and is charged ensuring smooth daily operations in addition to designing and implementing systems and procedures to improve efficiency and quality. This person is the champion for DC’s drive toward continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and oversee LEAN manufacturing process procedures.

Ensure on-time delivery

Interface with design teams to ensure manufacturability.

Define metrics for quality assurance, safety and regulatory compliance.

Establish documentation procedures.

Train manufacturing teams to adopt new systems and procedures.

Coordinate with purchasing and account managers to manage material supply and through-put issues.

Deliver analysis and strategies for improving efficiencies and reducing costs.

Police systems and procedures to ensure a state of readiness for regulatory and certification inspections
Education/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree. Engineering degree a plus.

Working Knowledge of the cable industry and or component industry.

5 Years experience in operations management with production quality and supply chain as direct reporting functions at companies with annual revenue greater then 20 million in manufacturing, assembly and/or distribution industries.

Proven track record as supervisor.

Certification or extensive experience with LEAN Six Sigma

Track record of implementing lean/six-sigma/ continuous improvement manufacturing methodologies.
