San Jose, Calif., December 23, 2013 – Amphenol DC Electronics (ADCE), a division of Amphenol Industrial Global Operations Group (NYSE: APH) today announced the opening of a new, state of the art manufacturing facility in Nogales, Mexico. The 30,000 square foot facility was designed to be a near mirror image of ADCEs Silicon Valley facility. It is a fully automated facility with all of ADCEs San Jose capabilities including injection molding and ultrasonic welding. “Our goal was to create a facility in a low cost region that offers our customers cost savings without compromising the world class quality and service on which we have built our reputation,” said Ruben Macias Jr., General Manager of ADCE. “We have the ability to design and develop prototype assemblies in San Jose and when approved, transfer the process of record to Nogales where production volume will be manufactured and inspected on identical equipment.” ADCE Nogales successfully shipped its first assemblies this past week and expects to see rapid, incremental growth in 2014. “Nogales is opening doors that we have never had access to in the past,” noted Director of Sales, Marco A.
